‘Shut the door’ the vaguely recognisable voice called out. What the hell’s all the panic about? I thought to myself as I looked around. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong. ‘Shut the fucking door’ the voice started getting louder. ‘Calm down’ I called back ‘just enjoy it.’ I tried to reassure the voice because I really couldn’t see any imminent emergency.
Then the screaming started ‘Shut the fucking door, shut the fucking door now before it’s too late’. Then before I even got a chance to gather myself the wind blew up. The furniture of my mind started sliding around until eventually it was whirling around my head. The tornado of thoughts just sucked into a vacuum until the only voice that could be heard was ‘Shut the fucking door’.
But it was too late. I had been here before and knew from painful experience that at this stage it was almost pointless, and certainly difficult, to gain control of the situation. It was just going to be a matter of time before everything would eventually fracture into a new present. A state of being that would swear blind to never leave the door unattended again. But how many times had that vow been made before and how many times had it already been broken.
It’s not that it’s difficult to guard the door and keep everyone out but every heart and mind needs airing. Each time the door first opens, a gentle breeze rustles up your happiness reminding you how beautiful it is to love. But love is not only blind. Love is deaf. Love doesn’t know how to shut the fucking door.
The Cock's Gettin Dirty - Friday 24 October
Buy A Better You - Friday 24 October
BUY A BETTER YOU
Starring Scottee
Songs by Warboy & Stewart
This is the first of two planned autumn dates of ‘Buy A Better You’, a one-man musical looking at the relationship between London based performer Scottee and his mother. It explores their emotional journey and it’s effects on his relationship to his body.
The 45-minute show casts a dark, emotional, and deeply personal light on issues such as self-confidence, body weight, and neglect. It reflects on the artists’ tense and complex development within his family from childhood through to adulthood.
The monologues are punctuated by eight songs written by Warboy, largely known as a DJ/producer on London’s East End scene. He has teamed up with long-standing musical partner Nigel Stewart, who brings his extensive experience of cabaret and show music to the work.
The new show has reworked the narrative into a much more biographical form than it’s development performances earlier this year which were Time Out’s Critic’s Choice.
Scottee is accompanied by Nigel Stewart on piano and violinist Jordo Hunt. Jordan (Jordo) Hunt is a self-styled composer / violinist / performer beyond compare, writing music for the UK's finest orchestras, including the BBC Symphony, Philharmonia and London Sinfonietta, playing with cult pop phenomenon The Irrepressibles, and performing with the UK's leading performance artists.
The guest act for Friday 24 October is The Irrepressibles, a ten-piece performance-pop orchestra & sound artist who combine complex and beautiful arrangements with stunning visuals to create a powerful live experience that challenges and enthrals. 'An enchantingly theatrical pop extravaganza' (Sunday Times), 'creating an almost unique genre, but one that is easily accessible' (Manchester Music), they were the Observer's 'Best Discovery' at this year's Latitude Festival
Buy A Better You and The Irrepressibles appear at Soho Revue Bar on Friday 24 October & 14 November. Tickets £8 on door. To book advance tickets and reserve tables email: baby@scottee.co.uk.

Aleigha and Lippy Lou
I had a visit from an old friend Lippy Lou today. She came with her daughter Aleigha, who is my goddaughter. Aleigha was born prematurely and has been through more difficult times in her first two years of life than most people experience in the whole of their life.
Look at these pictures and it's a clear reminder for me of the power in a human spirit. Not only Aleigha's energy after having bounced back from the point of death a number of times, but also Lippy's dedication and incredible focus in caring for her child.
Luckily things are a bit calmer again now so Lippy and I are writing some new tracks. Stay tuned...

You Want A Bit Of This? - Lyrics
You Want A Bit Of This?
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
High rise cowboys carrying guns
Chasing chav boys on the run
Trouble brews, hate n spite
Fight, fight, fight
Bare fist punchers starting wars
Hunting pitbulls keeping score
Trash the venue, cause a frown
Tear it down, down
Chorus
You want a bit of this?
You want a bit of that?
You want a bit of this?
Let’s have a bit of that?
Verse 2
Gangster styled macho posers
Bloody fools with bleeding noses
Scarring lives, wrecking faces
Hate, hate, hate
Time bomb ticks with fusing anger
TLC with a beating hand
Tough survivor, breaks the cage
Rage, rage, rage
Middle 8
Fighting boy, fighting girl
Fight fight again
Rude boy, rude girl
Offend, offend, offend
Chorus
You want a bit of this?

You Wish - Lyrics
You Wish
By Warboy & Stewart
What’s on your mind when you open your eyes?
Turning off the clock, you’re early to rise
Taking the shower you need every morning
To wash away the blues and your constant yawning
Do you think of the perks when you clock on at work?
Laughing at the jokes from your boss who’s a berk
Craving the day when you earn that promotion
Or an offer of the job that you’ve pinned your hopes on
You wish, yes my friend, you wish, will it ever end?
You wish you were the talk of the town
You wish you had famous friends around
You wish your name was up in lights
You wish you were a star for the night
You wish, can you change your luck?
Do I give a fuck?
You wish
Wish all you want to, wish all you want
Do you really want to wish all you do?
How do you cope every evening in your home?
TV and the net, or chatting on the phone
Drinking your wine while you get dinner ready
Then another early night in co-ordinate bedding
You wish, yes my friend, you wish, will it ever end?
You wish you were the talk of the town
You wish you had famous friends around
You wish your name was up in lights
You wish you were a star for the night

This Is My Life Karol - Lyrics
This is a song that I wrote for a character called Karol that Scottee performed as a couple of times. The lyrics have to be sung using a variety of gay anthems. Read they lyrics and should be clear which ones. Nigel then helped to write the chords and melodies so they could all be webbed together.
This is My Life
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
I should’ve been afraid – should’ve been petrified
Was my life in shattered pieces when my husband died
No, I couldn’t even cry
While I buried the sod
That may sound odd
But he was no demi-god
An excuse for a man
He was only a boy
His heart attack
Simply filled me with joy
Now let’s raise a glass
Mines a shandy
All those miserable years, and now I’m finally free
Yes I’m free (Karol)
This is me (Karol)
Chorus
This is my life
And I don’t give a damn for pills and potions
I’ve such a lot of love I’ve got to give
Let me live
Let me live
This is my life
Curvy, free, and single if you want me
A busty, lonely widow, over forty
This is me (Karol)
This is me (Karol)
Verse 2
Money, money, money
It wasn’t funny
When they read his will
It all went to his bunny
Oh not me, honey
His secret boyfriend Bill
I just can’t get it out of my head
All those years that I prayed for a decent fuck
It’s no wonder he was crap in bed
Well a closet for a hubbie is just my luck
Unlucky (Karol)
This is me (Karol)
Chorus
Verse 3
Some days I wished I was a star
With a mansion house and convertible car in the driveway
Have a husband who will care for me
Give me what a woman needs
Someone to satisfy me
Enough is enough is enough
I want love now, I can’t go on, no more, no
Loving that’s rough and that’s tough
Give me some love, I want it on the floor now
Give it to me (Karol)
Give it to me (Karol)
Chorus

Stop Press - Lyrics
Stop Press
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Read all about it
The lives of the famous
B-list celebs
The desperate, the shameless
In the chequebook interviews with glossy photographs
Boasting their survival from a string of broken hearts
Or how some addiction almost ruined their lives
Just pathetic little liars, pathetic little lies
Chorus
Stop Press
Grab another headline
Everybody wants to be the frontpage story
Stop Press
Will it make the deadline?
Everybody’s busy, media whoring
Verse 2
Dig for dirt
The brief of the editors
The tabloid hacks
And broadsheet predators
Enter the arena of the called press briefing
Witness the attack of a cold press beating
With blood on their teeth as they bite and chew
Forget about the truth – this is the news
Chorus
Mid 8
Today’s winners, Tomorrow’s losers
First they wear the crown, then they wear the bruises
Chorus

Roll Up - Lyrics
Roll Up
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
The boys all smoke by the riverside
Peddling like hazy hawks
They hassle punters crimson eyed
Whispering their sales talk
Chorus
Roll up, roll up
Everybody’s smashed
On ganja, marijuana, sensemillia, hash
Roll up, roll up
The country’s getting trashed
On ganja, marijuana, sensemillia, hash
Verse 2
Exploring laws in London town
Retiring needless crimes
Should the reefer be allowed?
To reflect the changing times
Chorus
Bridge
Relax, chillout,
Forget the stress
Relax, chillout,
Take a rest
Verse 3
Around the corner will be coffee shops
Indulging client greed
They’ll bake their cakes with current crops
And push out Princely weed
Chorus

London's Burning - Lyrics
London's Burning
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Fire on all the speakers
Spark up through the night
Sweat inside a hot house
Dust up Mister White
Darkened hearts bang
In time with every beat
Heavy eyes hang
Spacing in the heat
Chorus
LONDON’S BURNING a raging fire
Scoring, chasing, getting high
Black hole coasting, base heads turning
London’s blasting, London’s Burning
Verse 2
Fall into the shadows
Sink into the deep
Slip inside the underworld
While the City sleeps
Tripping minds melt
To fuel up the flames
Freeing from the shell
Playing heady games
Chorus
Middle 8
999, emergency call
Send help now or we’ll lose them all
Get here quick with the right solution
More than hope sorts this confusion
999, you hear my call?
Efforts being made are just too small
See the light; hear what concerns me
I’ve seen the light and London’s Burning
Chorus

Kiss In The Face Of Danger - Lyrics
Kiss In The Face Of Danger
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Kissing your lips for the first time
Was like bouncing on a marshmallow bed
The taste as I toasted my new find
Was sweeter than strawberry red
It was déjà vu, just like before
Constantly repeating mistakes
So many times, not keeping score
Still, no different to the others
Chorus
Risking the thrills, catching glances
Meeting another stranger
For love affairs that hide in the dark
Kiss in the face of danger
In for the kill, seeking chances
Always a high-risk taker
For love affairs that hide in the dark
Kiss in the face of danger
Bridge
Oh the secret meeting while people slept
Gambling to win on a tipster’s bet
But your lover’s staring silhouette
Just meant it was going to end
Verse 2
Watching you act to save your skin
As you pleaded to reverse your fate
Disguising my feelings like an Oscar winner
I resisted emotions to hate
As I turned to home dried up crying
Escaping from all the games
No more stories twisting and lying
Goodbye my deceitful lover
Chorus
Bridge 2
Do you think of me in your bed at night?
Wetting your selfish appetite
Oh such relief and much delight
If only it could happen again
Chorus

Come Into The Dreamworld - Lyrics
Come Into The Dreamworld
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Daniella‘s a twisted dark horse and chestnut-eyed brunette
The chimera in her mid-twenties trawls chatrooms on the net
Her slim to medium figure
Thirty-six, twenty-five, thirty-four
Such a crafty work of fiction
Guarantees the lads want more
Verse 2
Michael the nightly browser dreads duping by the queers
But the ‘horny hard one 4 ya’ always falls in the trap he fears
He hunts, hoping for a dream date
Thirty-six, twenty-five, thirty-four
Daniella the London lady
Has the stats he needs to score
Chorus
Come into the dreamworld
Just play with reality
Come into the dreamworld
Explore the fantasy
Verse 3
Despite all the coaxing and begging, she refuses to reveal
Her excuses are tried and tested, safely guarding her appeal
As they chant the man-trap mantra
Thirty-six, twenty-five, thirty-four
He delivers a raw performance
In the dream world they adore
Chorus
Bridge

Bingeing - Lyrics
Bingeing
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
I like a Soave, a Chardonney, something fruity with a light bouquet
The strongest draft, or bottle if they're out, but I can't stand ale and I don't touch stout
Wine bar, restaurant, members club
Me local, the offie, any good pub
Italian or French, Stripe or Pils
Just one thing,
Make sure it's chilled
Chorus
Dry white wine, Pint of lager
Dry white wine, Pint of lager
Dry white wine, Pint of lager
She'll have a wine, He'll have a lager
Middle 8
Louts and Lushes
Crawlers and brawlers
Living a party in search of fun
Louts and Lushes
Crawlers and brawlers
On a bender punch drunk
Verse 2
I unwind, socialise, and when I've had a few, put the world to rights
On the pull or a laugh with mates, Dutch courage always feels great
Morning migraine - fresh egg nog
Hangover cure - hair of the dog
One after work, another at home
Just one thing
Never drink alone
(Rap)
Bingeing, bingeing all day long
Drink, drink, drink
Get em in, knock em back, get em in again
The drunken rabble sing
Bingeing, bingeing all day long
Toast, toast, toast
Get em in, knock em back, get em in again
One more for the road

Are You Happy With Your Life? - Lyrics
Are You Happy With Your Life?
By Warboy
So you ask me
‘Are you happy with your life?’
And I have to say,
‘No I’m not happy with my life.’
It’s not a permanent state
Just a temporary glitch
A series of events that caught me off guard
But things will shift
Roll on the the changes
I’ve already made a start
I’m sure I can do it
I know I can do it
But I need a little time
Until then, I have to say
‘No I’m not happy with my life.’

Come On - Lyrics
Come On
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Stand up if you think you’re wonderful
You know it, you know it
Though the foolish cowards always laugh
Tearing your glittered clothes apart
Thinking you'll run away scared and meek
But you're not another beaten up freak
If you really think you’re wonderful
Just show it, yeah show it
Chorus
Come on if you think you're hard enough
Come on if you think you dare
Come on if you think you're hard enough
War has been declared
Verse 2
Hands up if you think you’re wonderful
You know it, you know it
With your dandy hat and your glitter face
Plastic bags and cheap gold chains
Reject model in junkyard chic
Living art strutting down the street
If you really think you’re wonderful
Just show it, yeah show it
Middle 8
Come on then, come on then
If you've got the bottle
Come on then, come on then
Give it your best shot
Are you up to it? Yeah
Are you up to it? Yeah
Well come on then, come on then
Show us what you've got
Chorus
Come on if you think you're hard enough
Come on if you think you dare
Come on if you think you're hard enough
War has been declared
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Stand up if you think you’re wonderful
You know it, you know it
Though the foolish cowards always laugh
Tearing your glittered clothes apart
Thinking you'll run away scared and meek
But you're not another beaten up freak
If you really think you’re wonderful
Just show it, yeah show it
Chorus
Come on if you think you're hard enough
Come on if you think you dare
Come on if you think you're hard enough
War has been declared
Verse 2
Hands up if you think you’re wonderful
You know it, you know it
With your dandy hat and your glitter face
Plastic bags and cheap gold chains
Reject model in junkyard chic
Living art strutting down the street
If you really think you’re wonderful
Just show it, yeah show it
Middle 8
Come on then, come on then
If you've got the bottle
Come on then, come on then
Give it your best shot
Are you up to it? Yeah
Are you up to it? Yeah
Well come on then, come on then
Show us what you've got
Chorus
Come on if you think you're hard enough
Come on if you think you dare
Come on if you think you're hard enough
War has been declared
Secondhand Sal Lyrics
This is from the show Buy A Better You that we have been working on with Scottee.
Secondhand Sal
By Warboy & Stewart
(Verse 1)
Nobody wants faulty goods
Nobody wants nearly new
Nobody really wants a reject
Nobody really wants me
(Chorus)
Secondhand Sal is back on the shelf
Destined for a life all alone
A broken woman who’s tried all she can
What will become of Secondhand Sal?
Secondhand Sal
Secondhand Sal
Who will love Secondhand Sal?
(Verse 2)
Damaged by the knocks of life
Broken, eternally crying
The shop is now closed for business
Bored with the struggle of trying
(Middle 8)
No refunds
No guarantees
No hope
(Chorus)
Secondhand Sal is back on the shelf
Destined for a life all alone
A broken woman who’s tried all she can
What will become of Secondhand Sal?
Secondhand Sal
Secondhand Sal
Who will love Secondhand Sal?
Secondhand Sal
Secondhand Sal
Will anyone love Secondhand Sal?

Bargain Bride Lyrics
Bargain Bride
By Warboy & Stewart
(Verse 1)
The sale ends today
It’s over by tonight
All the stock’s been reduced
Including the Bargain Bride
Such a special offer
Just look at this price
You can’t get a better deal
Than this Bargain Bride
(Chorus)
The bells are ringing out
So all can hear the sound
Someone’s walking up the aisle
In a bridal gown
The Bargain Bride is marrying
Someone bring a wedding ring
The Bargain Bride is marrying
Today’s the big day
(Verse 2)
Not much of a looker
Or the wisest mind
What can you expect
From a Bargain Bride
But love is guaranteed
For anyone to buy
Mr Right say I do
Claim your Bargain Bride
(Chorus)
The bells are ringing out
So all can hear the sound
Someone’s walking up the aisle
In a bridal gown
The Bargain Bride is marrying
Someone bring a wedding ring
The Bargain Bride is marrying
Today’s the big day
(Middle 8)
Say goodbye to a life on the shelf
Hello to a future with someone else
Have someone to cherish, someone to kiss
Enjoy the rewards of bargain bridal bliss
(Chorus)
The bells are ringing out
So all can hear the sound
Someone’s walking up the aisle

Smile Child
By Warboy & Stewart
Smile child
Smile child
Smile child
The sun’s come out
To wipe away the rain
Years of dampened hopes
End here today
Smile child
Smile child
Smile child
Can you hear the sound
Of singing in your heart
Playing out a melody
Echoing with laughs
Smile child
Smile child
Smile child
The time has come
For you to realise
Everything you dreamed of
Is right before your eyes
Smile child
Soon you’ll see
Smile child
You’ll run free

Cupboard Love Lyrics
This is a song from the show Buy A Better You that we have been working on with Scottee.
Cupboard Love
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
They say there’s nothing like a mother’s love
I got a strange kind of cupboard love
But when you feel that the cupboard is bare
It’s hard to believe that anyone cares
Verse 2
I used to dream and scheme
Plans to do her in
A stabbing in her bed at night
Or poison slipped into her gin
Anything for an easy life
Bridge
Will anyone feed me love
And rid me of this hunger
Can anyone fill the hole in my life
I don’t want to starve with anger
Chorus
Everyone needs a mother’s hand
To touch them when they cry
People find it hard to understand
That I wanted my mum to die
Oh die, oh die,
Die, oh die,
Die, oh die,
I wanted her to die
Verse 3
As time goes by, the more I comprehend
Even mums need a loving friend
She gave me love the only way she knew
But cupboard love is hard to get through
Verse 4
I’d trade truffles for cuddles
A cookie for a kiss
Wine for a simple smile
Even sausage, egg, beans and chips
For Mother’s Love every time
Bridge
Will anyone feed me love
And rid me of this hunger
Can anyone fill the hole in my life
I don’t want to starve with anger
Chorus
Everyone needs a mother’s hand
To touch them when they cry
Sometimes I find it hard to understand
Now I want my mum alive
Alive, alive
Alive, alive
Alive, alive
I want my mum alive
Outro
Alive, alive
I want my mum alive
I lie, I lie
I want my mum to love me

Money lyrics
Money
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
Every day I write a list
Of things that I'd adore
And every list looks the same
As the day before
Health, beauty, and happiness are grand
But all close seconds to money in my hand
Shallow order without a doubt
But I find it hard to go without
Chorus
Money - food to satisfy desires
Money - oil to grease my cogs
Euro Dollar Yen or Pound
Find the funds to feed me now
Spoil me, treat me, help me live in style
Indulge me in these things, if only for a while
Verse 2
I'd love a town house in Mayfair
A Manor house in Kent
Top designer clothes
From the leading doyen
Crystal watches and platinum rings
Perfumes, cosmetics for sensitive skin
Decent hotels - six stars at least
And Michelin ones on the walls where I eat
Chorus
Money - food to satisfy desires
Money - oil to grease my cogs
Euro Dollar Yen or Pound
Find the funds to feed me now
Spoil me, treat me, help me live in style
Indulge me in these things, if only for a while
Middle 8
It is said that money is like a pool of water
The longer it's standing still the more stagnant it becomes
Keep it moving, keep it moving,
Keep it moving, over here
Verse 3
My lotto numbers have not come up
But I'm ready when they do
With all my plans clearly formed
Of what I'm going to choose
Watching and dreaming every night
I see the world that should certainly be mine
While I wait and wait and wait
I write the lists as my escape
Chorus
Money - food to satisfy desires
Money - oil to grease my cogs
Euro Dollar Yen or Pound

I Love You Porky Lyrics
This is a song from the show Buy A Better You that we have been working on with Scottee.
I Love You Porky
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
We were eating
At Le Jule Verns
Just near La Tour Eiffel
I had mussels
His steak was rare
I remember it all so well
Verse 2
He took my hand
Just so romantic
And looked me in the eyes
He said ‘Porky’
I said ‘Yes ‘Pete’
He asked me ‘Will you be mine?’
Bridge 1
The world stood still
Oh what a thrill
He wanted all his dreams fulfilled
Chorus 1
‘I Love You Porky’
That’s what he said to me
‘I want you as my wife’
I Love You Porky
‘Will you marry me?’
It was the best day of my life
Verse 3
Well the ring
Had a diamond
With rubies all around
Custom made
By a craftsman
Not QVC for twenty pounds
Verse 4
He’s got this girl
With a bit to grab
And a bit more for good luck
Kinda cuddly
But not too bubbly
That man was so love struck
Bridge 2
No need to guess
I said yes
I had already got the dress
Chorus 2
Je t’aime Porky
That’s what he said to me
‘Soon you’ll be my wife’
I Love You Porky
‘You’re gonna marry me
This is the best day of my life’
Coda
Je t’aime Porky
That’s what he said to me
I Love You Porky
That’s what he said to me
Je t’aime Porky
I Love You Porky
Chorus 3
I am your Porky
That’s what I said to Pete
‘Soon I’ll be your wife’
I am your Porky
‘I’m getting married
This is the best day of my life’

Let’s Do It Again Lyrics
This is a song from the show Buy A Better You that we have been working on with Scottee.
Let’s Do It Again
By Warboy & Stewart
Verse 1
I’m going to a party in town
With many familiar faces
So many that names I know
In a room full of strangers
So good to see you
You haven’t changed a bit
What have you been up to
Since we last met
Chorus
Let’s do it again
And walk down memory lane
Let’s do it again
Pretend that everything’s the same
Let’s do it again
Let’s all get excited
Let’s do it again
There’s nothing like friends reunited
Verse 2
If I said I’ve missed you so much
Would you believe it’s true
Or read through my disguise
To what I really think of you
Best friends
Make worse enemies
But there’s nothing like no friends
To make you feel empty
Chorus
Let’s do it again
And walk down memory lane
Let’s do it again
Pretend that everything’s the same
Let’s do it again
Let’s all get excited
Let’s do it again
There’s nothing like friends reunited
Middle 8
Remember the good times
Remember the bad times
Remember the best days of your life
Remember the good times
Remember the bad times
Remember the sentimental lies
Verse 3
Rewriting the past
To make us feel good
Turning back the time
If only we could
Chorus
Let’s do it again
And walk down memory lane
Let’s do it again
Pretend that everything’s the same
Let’s do it again
Let’s all get excited

Workout n Weigh-in Girl
By Warboy & Stewart
Intro
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
Now it’s not easy trying to get fit
It takes work
Hard work
Day in and day out
Verse 1
Monday is sweat day pumping iron at the gym
Tuesday hurts when the pain sets in
Wednesday’s weight watchers the moment of truth
Thursday is guilt day so it’s a diet of fruit
Friday is crunch day down at the gym
Saturday’s a dip in the pool for a swim
Then finally it’s Sunday, Sunday’s the best
It’s the workout and weigh-in girl’s only day of rest
Chorus
Work
Workout Girl
Feel, feel the burn
Weigh
Weigh-in Girl
You know, you know, you know you’re number one
Middle 8
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
Work, Work your body
The workout girl stretches and runs
Sweating her way to a tighter tum n buns
The weekly regime is gruelling and tough
But par for the course if she wants to get buff
The weigh-in girl always watches what she eats
No more booze, fatty foods, or sweets
Calorie controlled to help her lose weight
Starving her way to a slimmer waist
Chorus
Work
Workout Girl
Feel, feel the burn
Weigh
Weigh-in Girl
You know, you know, you know you’re number one
Outro
Feel it good, feel it burn
Feel your body getting firm
Like this, like that
See your body losing fat
Feeling good
Feeling great
Feel yourself in trimmer shape

Between The Cracks - Sat 4 October
After it’s successful launch in the summer, Between The Cracks is now launching monthly. On Saturday 4 October it will be hidden in a corner of Dalston. The venue will be announced nearer the time.
Heading up the DJs will be Scott Cooper, an established name in the breed of new producer DJs in the fidget house scene. He is a clear leader and innovator with numerous releases under his belt on labels such as Potty Mouth Music and Warehouse. He has already played in America and travelled extensively spreading his sound.
Luca C, probably better known as the guitarist in the Cazals, is an avid exponent of electronic dance music. His sets have a dark edge with a late night sound combining dark electro, skippy rhythms, on an almost minimal tip. After the Cazals’ huge chart success recently in Japan he is about to head back there and show them what he has in his DJ palette.
Warboy will be playing his usual energetic, dirty mix of wobbly basslines and fidget floor-stompers. His anthemic track London’s Getting Dirty has recently been signed to A New Hope Records, a label that has already managed to get into DJ Download’s Top Ten with their first release. The track will be released with new remixes in the Autumn.
Young star Ollie Rant will be dropping in from Bristol to play his broad and eclectic sounds spanning from garage to fidget, drum n bass to old skool. Anything goes with this experimental wizard.
When Warboy decided to launch Between The Cracks in late July, one of the hardest times of year to successfully launch any party in London, people said he must be mad. However, he and K-tron had already successfully launched All You Can Eat in January 2006 – three weeks into the New Year – another difficult time to launch anything. It just went to prove that if something is interesting enough and well executed then the seemingly impossible is within reach.
When BTC launched at The Macbeth in Hoxton people were queuing one out one in by midnight - a clear sign that they were up for something new. With over 450 people coming through the doors that night, and many more being turned away because the party had already reached capacity, the council turned up trying to pour water on the party revellers because the music was causing rumbles down the street. There was no stopping this crowd of party-harders though. They were determined to make the most of their chance to dance til 4am to some of the freshest, talented DJs emerging in the UK.
BTC is not aiming to replicate or even match the explosive impact of Warboy’s previous parties. It does promise though to find some of the most exciting DJs both inside and outside London to deliver dance music with fresh ideas that inspire the dancefloor. The current focus is picking up on the bass heavy sounds, such as fidget house, wobble, bassline, and all the mutant strains coming through that are so young they have yet to be classified.
The launch party’s menacing poster artwork of Cristiano Carotti’s Darth Vader figure asking ‘Where is the rainbow?’ set the tone for future art to be included at BTC events.
Neon Skullz will be showcasing work that starts to express the discontent that seems to prevail around the London post Nu Rave scene post. However, this is not depressing, Emo-styled, self-indulgence but a frank acknowledgement that for many people living both inside and outside London there is a dark cloud that hangs over their heads and it’s very unlikely to be filled with rainbow dreams when it bursts open.
This will be a night that offers the crowd an opportunity to party together and realise that they’re not alone in, what often feels like, a very lonely city. Who gives a shit when you can’t pay your rent? Who tries to understand when you question why you even bother? Who holds out a helping hand when you’re down on your luck? Who even notices when you’ve slipped Between The Cracks? We do because we’re there too!

The reason i haven't posted
Just thought i should explain my long interval from posting any blogs but basically someone had hacked my account. Every time i tried to post anything i would be forwarded to some porn site. Now as much i can appreciate porn this was a complete fucking pain. After failing to get a reply from blogger about this on numerous occasions i finally managed to sort it myself.
Hopefully, i'm back to stay now.
