The next SOS party falls on the Queen's Birthday plus the weekend of St George's Day but we're gonna be too busy to join the rest of the nation flying their flags and belting out the national anthem in a mediocre warm-up for the Jubilee.
The SOS crew will be swapping royal Corgis for Burberry Pitbulls, crown jewels for Dalston Market bling, old reigning queens for Old Street drag queens, royal garters for Mary Portas knickers, and idiotic BNP skinheads for sexy SMBD ones. This is what makes Britain great - diversity, inclusivity and completely off-the-wall lunacy.
As Comin’ Up editor for DJmag and the man who runs the online magazine DJ Weekly, JOE ROBOTS obviously has an extensive musical and clubbing knowledge. He played the very first SOS and it's great to have him take time out from playing huge gigs around the world to shake things up once again.
He'll be joined by the mysteriously enigmatic DIETRICH IN FRANCE and residents WARBOY and ANDY BLAKE playing a specturm of forward thining house music.
SHED RADIO FUNDRAISER
The Shed's legendary after parties have become an East End institution. Now the numerous creatives involved with making those parties happen are taking it to the rest of the world with the recently launched Shed Radio onine station. With more mixes, guests and hosts being added weekly this station is the place to hear some of the best talents around. www.shedradio.com
Shed Radio will be taking over the back bar at SOS this month to help raise some money to buy more necessary equipment. A plethora of DJs and hosts will be donating their talents whilst SOS and East Bloc will be donating some cash to help Shed Radio get the things they need to take things to the next level.
If you know the Shed parties then you'll know what you're letting yourself in for. If you don't, then just look at the line up and you'll get a good feel for the mayhem and magic that will unfold.
